These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Aequitas Lens (“App”), a mobile application and related digital service operated by Aequitas Investment Consultancy Private Limited (“Aequitas”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, browsing, or using Aequitas Lens, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
- About Aequitas Lens
Aequitas Lens is an educational and informational knowledge platform that provides access to articles, newsletters, market perspectives, explainers, podcasts, videos, quizzes, leaderboards, and other learning-led content prepared by Aequitas Team.
The App is intended to help users access Aequitas’ knowledge content and build better understanding of markets, businesses, investing concepts, financial literacy, and related topics.
Aequitas Lens does not provide trading services, brokerage services, portfolio management through the App, investment execution, personalized investment advice, or stock recommendations.
- Eligibility
By using the App, you represent that:
- you are at least 18 years of age; or
- you are using the App under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian, where applicable;
- you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms;
- your use of the App does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or contractual obligation.
Aequitas Lens is not intended for children below the age of 18. If we become aware that the App has collected information from a child below 18 without appropriate consent, we may take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize such information.
- Educational and Informational Purpose
All content available on Aequitas Lens, including articles, newsletters, blogs, videos, podcasts, explainers, quizzes, leaderboards, notifications, summaries, and other material, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
Nothing on the App should be construed as:
- investment advice;
- financial planning advice;
- tax advice;
- legal advice;
- accounting advice;
- portfolio advice;
- a research recommendation;
- a solicitation;
- an offer to buy, sell, subscribe to, or hold any security, investment product, or financial instrument;
- a guarantee or assurance of returns;
- a representation that any particular investment strategy is suitable for you.
Any decision made by you based on information available on the App is solely your responsibility.

- No Personalized Advice
Aequitas Lens does not assess your personal financial situation, risk appetite, investment objectives, portfolio holdings, income level, liabilities, tax status, or investment needs.
The content on the App is not personalized for your financial circumstances and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any investment decision.
Any examples, market observations, historical references, sector views, or educational explanations are provided only for general understanding.
- No Trading or Transaction Facility
The App does not allow users to:
- buy or sell securities;
- execute trades;
- subscribe to investment products;
- open investment accounts;
- transact in PMS, AIF, mutual funds, equities, or any other financial products;
- receive portfolio-specific instructions;
- place orders;
- transfer funds for investment purposes.
If any information is provided about investment structures, market concepts, PMS, AIF, GIFT City, LRS, taxation, compliance, or global investing, such information is for general educational awareness only.
- Content Accuracy and Limitations
Aequitas makes reasonable efforts to ensure that content made available on the App is accurate and updated at the time of publication. However:
- markets, regulations, tax laws, business conditions, and economic conditions change over time;
- content may become outdated;
- views expressed in articles, newsletters, podcasts, videos, or other materials may be based on information available at the time of publication;
- errors, omissions, or delays may occur;
- content may not capture all relevant facts, risks, or developments.
Aequitas does not warrant that the App or its content will be error-free, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- Past Performance and Forward-Looking Statements
Any historical performance, market data, company information, case studies, examples, or references to past outcomes are provided for educational context only.
Past performance is not indicative of future results.
Any forward-looking statements, projections, expectations, scenarios, or opinions are inherently uncertain and subject to risks, assumptions, and changes in circumstances.
Users should not rely on such information as assurance of future performance or outcomes.
- Quizzes, Leaderboards, and Alias-Based Participation
The App may include quizzes, practice modules, learning activities, scores, rankings, and leaderboards.
Participation in such features may require you to provide an alias, nickname, or display name.
You agree that:
- you will not use offensive, misleading, unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or inappropriate words as your alias;
- you will not use your phone number, email address, government identification, confidential information, or sensitive personal information as your alias;
- you will not attempt to manipulate quiz scores, leaderboard rankings, or app functionality;
- you will not use bots, scripts, automated tools, or unauthorized technical methods to participate in quizzes or leaderboards.
Aequitas may remove, edit, hide, reset, or disqualify any alias, score, ranking, or participation that it considers inappropriate, misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with these Terms.
Leaderboard rankings are for engagement and learning purposes only and do not create any entitlement, prize, reward, job opportunity, investment opportunity, or commercial benefit unless expressly announced by Aequitas in writing.
- Optional Forms and User Submissions
The App may include feedback forms, support forms, interest forms, contact forms, or other voluntary submission features.
If you submit any information through such forms, you are responsible for ensuring that the information is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
You agree not to submit:
- false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
- unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, threatening, discriminatory, or offensive content;
- confidential information belonging to any third party;
- personal information of another person without appropriate authority;
- investment instructions or transaction requests through general forms.
Submitting a query or interest form through the App does not create a client relationship, advisory relationship, investment mandate, PMS relationship, AIF subscription, or any obligation on Aequitas to provide services.
- Push Notifications and Communications
If you enable push notifications, Aequitas may send you notifications about:
- new articles;
- newsletters;
- videos or podcasts;
- educational content;
- quizzes;
- app updates;
- important service messages.
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
Aequitas intends to use notifications responsibly and for meaningful updates. However, delivery of notifications may depend on device settings, network availability, operating system behavior, and third-party notification services.
- User Conduct
You agree to use the App only for lawful and permitted purposes.
You must not:
- misuse the App or interfere with its normal operation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, servers, or accounts;
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or tamper with the App, except where permitted by law;
- use the App to distribute malware, harmful code, spam, or unauthorized communications;
- scrape, copy, extract, or harvest content or data from the App without authorization;
- misuse quizzes, leaderboards, aliases, forms, or interactive features;
- impersonate any person, organization, institution, or representative of Aequitas;
- use the App in any manner that may damage Aequitas’ reputation, systems, users, or legal interests;
- use content from the App for commercial redistribution without written permission;
- remove copyright, trademark, disclaimer, or proprietary notices from App content.
Aequitas reserves the right to restrict, suspend, remove, reset, or block access to features where misuse is detected or reasonably suspected.
- Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the App and its content belong to Aequitas or its licensors, unless otherwise stated.
This includes:
- articles;
- newsletters;
- blogs;
- videos;
- podcasts;
- explainers;
- text;
- graphics;
- design;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- icons;
- layouts;
- quiz content;
- leaderboard design;
- app interface;
- software code;
- databases;
- compilations;
- branding and visual identity.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial, educational purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, license, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content from the App without prior written permission from Aequitas.
- Third-Party Content and Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, videos, podcasts, articles, tools, or resources.
Such third-party content or services are provided for convenience or reference only. Aequitas does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, availability, or practices.
Your use of third-party websites or services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Third-Party Platforms and App Stores
Aequitas Lens may be made available through third-party platforms, including the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Your download and use of the App may also be subject to the terms, policies, and rules of such platforms.
You agree to comply with all applicable platform terms.
To the extent that these Terms conflict with mandatory terms imposed by Apple, Google, or any applicable app distribution platform, the applicable platform terms may apply to that extent.
- Apple App Store Terms
If you download or use Aequitas Lens through the Apple App Store:
- these Terms are between you and Aequitas, not Apple;
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App;
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App or your use of the App, including product liability claims, regulatory claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims, except as required by applicable law;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary where applicable.
Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and any applicable Apple App Store terms.
- Google Play Terms
If you download or use Aequitas Lens through Google Play:
- these Terms are between you and Aequitas, not Google;
- Google is not responsible for the App or its content;
- Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App;
- your use of the App may also be subject to applicable Google Play terms, policies, and conditions.
- Updates and Changes to the App
Aequitas may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, remove, or restrict any part of the App or its content at any time.
We may release app updates to improve performance, security, content, functionality, or compliance. Some features may not work properly unless you install the latest version of the App.
We do not guarantee that all content or features will always remain available.
- Availability and Technical Performance
We aim to provide a stable and useful app experience. However, we do not guarantee that:
- the App will always be available;
- access will be uninterrupted;
- content will load without delay;
- notifications will always be delivered;
- videos or podcasts will always play without interruption;
- the App will be free from errors, bugs, crashes, or security vulnerabilities;
- the App will be compatible with every device which is able to access Apple App Store or Google Play store, operating system, or network condition.
We may perform maintenance, upgrades, or changes that affect App availability.
- Privacy

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
- Deletion and Uninstalling the App
Aequitas Lens does not require users to create an account to access core content.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
If you have participated in quizzes, leaderboards, or voluntarily submitted information through forms and wish to request deletion of associated information, you may contact us at: info@aequitasindia.in
Deletion requests will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
- No Warranty
The App and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aequitas disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.
Aequitas does not warrant that the App or content will meet your expectations, be free from errors, or produce any particular result.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aequitas, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, affiliates, service providers, and licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or other damages arising out of or relating to:
- your use of or inability to use the App;
- reliance on any content available through the App;
- market movements or investment decisions made by you;
- errors, omissions, delays, or inaccuracies in content;
- interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the App;
- loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or reputational harm;
- unauthorized access, security incidents, or technical failures;
- third-party services or links.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
- Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aequitas, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
- your misuse of the App;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law;
- your infringement of any third-party rights;
- your submission of false, misleading, unlawful, or unauthorized information;
- your misuse of quizzes, leaderboards, aliases, or interactive features.
- Suspension or Restriction of Access
Aequitas may restrict, suspend, remove, reset, or block access to any feature or functionality if we believe that:
- you have violated these Terms;
- your use may create legal, compliance, security, operational, or reputational risk;
- you have misused the App;
- your alias, quiz activity, leaderboard activity, or submission is inappropriate, fraudulent, or harmful;
- restriction is required by law, regulation, platform policy, or security requirement.
- Changes to These Terms
Aequitas may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, business practices, or platform policies.
When we update these Terms, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Where required, we may provide notice through the App or other appropriate means.
Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, courts and tribunals located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
- Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to remain in full force and effect.
- No Waiver
Any failure by Aequitas to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of our rights.
- Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from Aequitas.
Aequitas may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with business operations, restructuring, merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law.
